Our Work

Since our creation, we have expanded to more than 5 countries, mobilised more than 100 youth volunteers and reached over 1000 young people through classes, performances, cultural activities and community projects.

Free Ballet Classes

We offer free ballet classes to those who may not have the chance to receive formal dance education whilst offering free complimentary refreshments and food. As many Pacific countries do not have an official ballet programme, we allow youth to experience ballet in an accessible and joyful way and leaving them with a dance they could perform for their parents and peers. We also donate ballet supplies to further enrich the experience.

Interviews and talks with Pasifika artists and government ministers including the Niuean Minister for Education

We interviewed many Pasifika artists to learn more about their experiences, creative practices, and perspectives on culture, identity, and community. These conversations were an important part of the organization, helping ensure that artist voices remain central to our mission.

Dance Performances

We also performed ballet at various venues for families and community members, sharing our art in an open and accessible way. We have also put together community performances with performances from various local artists in the community.

Making Pacific arts visible and celebrating cultural traditions through our digital archive

We are building a digital archive to document and share Pacific dance, artistic practices and cultural stories that can otherwise be difficult for young people to access. The archive brings together interviews with Pasifika artists and community leaders, recordings of performances, articles, photographs and educational resources, creating a space where young people can learn directly from the people who practise and sustain these art forms.

Raising funds and providing dance supplies to enhance accessibility

We have raised funds and collected dance supplies to help remove some of the financial barriers that prevent young people from participating in dance. Through fundraising, donations and community support from our partner organisations, we have been able to provide ballet shoes, dancewear, costumes and other equipment to young dancers and communities where these resources can be difficult or expensive to access.
